Parameter Mapping (MIDI Learn)
Right-click any parameter and select "MIDI Learn". Move a knob or press a button on your controller to create the mapping. Mappings are saved with your project so they persist between sessions.
Connecting Your Controller
1. Power and connect via USB
Most class-compliant controllers are bus-powered. Connect directly to your Mac, not through an unpowered hub.
2. Verify the device is recognized
Open Audio MIDI Setup (in Applications > Utilities). Under Window > Show MIDI Studio, your controller should appear bright (not greyed out).
3. Launch RenderWave
RenderWave detects MIDI devices on launch and during runtime. Launchpads light up immediately when bound.
4. Map parameters via MIDI Learn
Right-click any slider, choose MIDI Learn, then move the knob or hit the pad you want to bind. Done — twist away.
